Sharp PC-1401 Clipart

Hello, friend! I made an SVG graphic of a SHARP PC-1401. It was made using my own Sharp PC-1401 as a template, an illuminated jeweller's loupe and callipers. I tried to keep as close to the original measurements and colours as I could. Everything is organized in layers and I hope each object is descriptively named so you can use this as a basis for your own work, should you wish. I've used Inkscape's clone tool extensively, so if you wonder why you can't change an object, that's probably the reason. Hit Shift-D and you should see the original object, and you only need to change that. The rest will get automatically updated.

Fonts used in case you're looking to do your own Sharp Pocket Computer clipart:

Mostly Swiss 721 BT (QWERTY Keys, BASIC commands), Condensed (some function key titles e.g. BASIC, CAL) and Bold (Some statistic overlay functions)

Tex Gyre Heros (Where Swiss 721 didn't cut it)

Times New Roman italic (calculator overlays)

Cambrian Math (greek letters, calculator functions)

Where nothing fitting was found, a close match was hunted out, converted to a path and directly edited. I used Swiss 721 because I had it from a very old copy of Corel Draw and it is waaaaaay closer to Helvetica than Arial.

Sharp did a lot of mixing and matching, but as far as I see stuck mostly with Helvetica and Times New Roman italic.

Displaying the .svg graphic in Chrome (and probably any other Chromium based browser) looks strange. It looks fine when opened in Inkscape.

Have fun!
